For as long as I can remember I’ve been into design in some way. When I was little I always loved playing dress-up and I was often doodling outfits and jewelry into a scrapbook. In my teens I started going to vintage clothing shows and thrift shops and was so excited when I got my first job in retail and eventually became a personal shopper.

I worked in fashion as a stylist and personal shopper for 11 years before transitioning into décor and interiors styling. You could say that fashion was my ‘first love’ and there are so many similarities between them. The similarities in styling clothes to styling interiors that I love is finding new ways to connect things to curate something special; mixing furniture, textures, and ‘found’ pieces that add personality. I love rummaging through vintage markets and finding unique treasures like table décor, jewelry, and salvage to mix in with other pieces in my wardrobe and home, and they often show up in my styled shoots as well. I’ve always had a ‘residential’ approach to styling spaces – the accent pieces – the rugs, books, candles, and plants are like the ‘jewelry’ in the room and they can transform even the simplest décor into something special.

When I style client’s homes and gatherings I always want to find out what inspires them and brings them joy and calm before we decide on a design. I want it to feel like your getaway.

When I found myself sketching again it turned into a small-batch jewellery collection called Full Feather Ramble.  When I was little I spent time in a cabin by a lake with my family and there was no television there so we used to look up the names of birds we saw in books. I still love birds and ‘Full feather’ is a phrase that was used in the early 1800s to mean ‘going out in one’s best dressed’ and ‘ramble’ is a reference to ‘wandering’ or travelling. I have always liked the idea of a bird going out in its ‘best’ feathers and having adventures!
