Been collecting this 1970s pattern of vintage dishes from thrift shops for 2 years and I finally have a set of 4 - just in time for Christmas! I have a collection of lovely, glittery, vintage ornaments that I love decorating for Christmas with, but something in me this year wanted to lean into the peacefulness and calm of winter. Rather than a cut tree I lit up a potted evergreen tree with fairy lights, and placed it by the fire in a basket with the intention of moving it outside to the mini-deck in the Spring. Kept it simple by tucking pine branches over picture frames and into my wood pile - simple and budget-frie

Like a lot of you - I lurve plants! Every year after the winter I plant a new crop of greenery on my mini-deck and lovingly look after them throughout the spring and summer. I’m not the best gardener but it’s a simple thing that brings me a lot of joy, and it’s fun to have friends over for summer drinks surrounded by plants. I read somewhere that you can use your leftover coffee grounds to water your plants and decided to try it out and – wow! Here’s the result. :)
